Severe Thunderstorm Warning - Issued when severe weather has been reported by spotters or indicated by radar. Warnings indicate imminent danger to life and property to those in the path of the storm which could likely produce winds of at least 58 mph and/or hail of at least 1" in diameter.

Broadcasts of weather information - including warnings - can be heard 24 hours a day in practically every community in Georgia.
