The Cherokee County Capital Program Management Division announces that the Old Highway 5/Main Street/Holly Springs Parkway Bridge over the Little River will be closed to through traffic from June 9, 2009, for a period of 21 days, for bridge deck rehabilitation.

A posted detour will be provided during the duration of the construction. The detour routes utilize Sixes Road to the north and Woodstock Parkway/Ridgewalk Parkway to the south.

The timing of the road closure is tied to the Cherokee County School System’s summer break.

Cherokee County appreciates the public’s patience during the detour period and requests that motorists obey the detours for their safety as well as for the safety of all contractors’ personnel.
